He was born in 1988 in Kavala, Greece. He began pursuing music professionally at the young age of 13. He has studied several musical instruments, including guitar, bouzouki, percussion, and piano.
His first official song was released in 2015 by Minos EMI and was titled “O Erotas Mou Gine” (“Become My Love”), with music and lyrics written by himself and Stan in collaboration with Icon Music. He later released the songs “Vale,” “Agkalia,” and “Koritshaki Mou,” which achieved great success from the very first days of their release, with his latest single surpassing 12 million views on YouTube.
In recent years, he has been considered one of the most successful artists of his generation, collaborating with renowned Greek artists such as Nikos Kourkoulis, Giorgos Mazonakis, Stan, Eleni Foureira, Konstantinos Argyros, Paola, Antypas, Stamatis Gonidis, Natasa Theodoridou, Giannis Xanthopoulos, and others.
On June 11, 2017, he released his first album titled “Apotypomata” (Imprints) through Minos EMI / Universal, produced by Icon Music.
In addition to singing, Petros Iakovidis is also a songwriter. He has written songs that became major hits for Konstantinos Argyros (such as “Athina–Thessaloniki,” “Fovamai,” “Ximeromata”) and Stan (“Chtypa,” “Eisai Aparaititi”), among others.
In 2015, he was nominated at the MAD Video Music Awards for Best New Artist, with the award ultimately going to Konstantinos Koufos. That same year, he performed an impressive live duet on the MAD Awards stage with Christos Dantis and Stelios Legakis, performing the song “Kommátia.”
